Mr. and Mrs. McKinnon UPDATE!

Hello Everyone!

We write this blog together today as “Mr. and Mrs. McKinnon” with great joy and appreciation for our “togetherness” at its new level. We are happy, in love and so very grateful for all our friends and family who have loved and supported us, and helped carry us so far in such a short period of a year.

We deeply appreciate your continued prayers for North’s well-being on all levels. As I (Stef) write this, he is going through another series of scans to learn what effects the latest treatments are having on the cancer. Results and next steps will be learned on Thursday. We are doing our best to be in the now and remember and know the big picture of life is perfect.

Its been a long time since we have posted a blog update. The last one was written on the morning of our wedding day, over 6 weeks ago! Obviously much has taken place since then. We got married of course and went on our honeymoon/family holiday trip back to Tennessee. There my new in-laws greeted us in style (see the McKinnon clan of Tennessee below!) and we fulfilled a long-held dream of North's to celebrate the holidays with his entire family back home.

Sooo.. a little look back…

We were married on December 16th, 2006 in San Clemente, California. Rev. Kathy Hearn lead the ceremony as a bagpiper played Scottish classics in the background. Friends and family gathered to witness and toast and celebrate in our love. Even those that were too far away to join us, (family in Tennessee) paused during our ceremony and sent us wonderful feelings of love. We were able to join them a few days later and shared pictures and videos of the event.

Stef's family and new son-in-law?!? :-D

Here a few fond memories…

Patience of the guests while we rehearsed in a last minute change to an indoor setting

The corralling of the wedding party as we tried to compose ourselves under the guidance of Rev. Kathy Hearn- who had the patience of a saint!

The Procession with nephew Jackson and his flying flower petals, and nephew Skylar with Barnie dog bearing the rings

The Toast by Lynne, Kris, Bill, and Friends

Four year old Jackson’s speech

The arrival of Santa

The first dance

The cutting of the cake

The endless love, laughter and hugs

We are starting the new year with newness. So as a newly married couple we are moving ahead on our journey. We will be creating an entirely new blog and web page in the very near future. So our writings will begin again soon. A book is in the works, as well as our E-Bay store and business which will be launched within the month. And most importantly to us, we are exploring creative ways to fulfill our deep desire to be of service to others in a variety of ways, especially those going through a similar experience as ours with cancer. Stay tuned as all of us remain in each others thoughts, prayers and hearts.

With much love and many blessings,

North and Stef McKinnon!
